Thanks for tuning into the WisWaterGuy site! It is the blog of George Kraft, Professor of Water Resources with UW-Stevens Point and UW-Extension. This will be a venue for sharing ideas and news about Wisconsin’s waters, how we manage them, the challenges they have, and how we can improve them.

Hi George. Phil here. I’m looking forward to hearing about your experiences in California. I lived there for a while and am disheartened to see how some of the areas I loved have been compromised, if not destroyed. I hope the ideas you come up with will help prevent the tragedy from happening here in Waupaca. Good luck!
Very much interested in what you learn. I am presently in Colorado, the source of some of California’s water, and will nose around as to the information available here. Gary Wockner, a friend here in Ft. Collins, is part of this group http://www.savethecolorado.org/blog/ and is a Phd at the University. Might be a contact at some point. Good luck. http://garywockner.home.comcast.net/~garywockner/
So glad to see blog. I posted a link to at my blog, The Political Environment.
Thank you so much. I have already had a couple referrals from your site. I’ll see if I can reciprocate.
